BSE opens after OTP drop as Micron lifts Asian tech
The BUX starts from 145,390.27 points as Asian technology shares strengthen; the ECB’s EUR/HUF reference rate of 366.20 is the latest official currency reading.
The official BSE calendar shows 1 October as a regular trading day. Opening-auction order collection begins at 08:30 and price determination starts at 09:00; continuous trading begins after the auction ends. This check took place during order collection.
Our 30 September close review put the BUX at 145,390.27 points, down 1.18%. OTP fell 2.51% to HUF 42,700 and MOL declined 1.50% to HUF 4,974, while Richter gained 0.32% to HUF 12,370 and Magyar Telekom rose 0.16% to HUF 2,544.
Wall Street finished mixed: the S&P 500 fell 0.25%, the Dow lost 0.86%, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.24%. AP’s early 1 October snapshot put the Nikkei 225 up 2.4%, the Kospi up 0.5%, and the ASX 200 down 1.7%. The Hong Kong and Shanghai equity markets are closed for a holiday on 1 October; neither has trading data for that day.
The ECB’s 30 September reference was EUR/HUF 366.20; USD/HUF was calculated at 322.50 from EUR/USD 1.1355. These are daily reference values, not live quotes. Fresh, licensed pre-open prices for OTP, MOL, Richter and Magyar Telekom were unavailable.
